‘Lets get down to it’ may be one of your favourite sayings. You love a firm foundation for everything, from your money to your mates. Patient and organised, you keep on keeping on. You’re the one who books the table, sorts the transport and remembers the tickets. People know they can rely on you and you’re respected for doing as you promise. For your part, you often find others unreliable and your attitude is ‘if you want a job done, do it yourself.’ You notice all the little things and they give you lots of pleasure, but you also spot flaws and you can be critical and negative, on a bad day. You prefer routine and security – let others set the world alight, yours is a slow burn. Your realism gives you strength, but don’t let it block out the magic.
Probably you have it all mapped out. You set yourself milestones and like everything to arrive on schedule – university, career, relationship, kids, all in the correct order. Mostly you achieve what you set out to, and the way your life falls into place can be jaw-dropping. Realistic about your abilities, you project an air of confidence, but this can hide deep anxiety. Yes, you have a Plan B, and if disaster strikes you cope very well, but worries take their toll. You’re happiest dealing with the tangible because you can get results, but be careful this doesn’t blind you to spirituality. Self-reliant and responsible, you’re a hard worker, but you do need to learn how to relax, so look after your own well-being and have faith.
You long to be the rock that others can rely on and however successful you are at this (and chances are you excel) you are still haunted by times when you fear you’ve let someone down. Keeping people safe, secure and happy is a deep drive. You realize the body is the vessel of the spirit and you want to cherish and protect. You may set yourself impossible tasks trying to preserve what is temporary, but in the end you grasp that what is truly indestructible is love and that each moment, if lived properly, can be a kind of eternity. The earth fills you with wonder and you create beauty in a very practical way. Unconsciously you may set yourself endurance-tests – your innate strength is greater than you realize, so relax. Here are your mantras:
You may well feel that your life is pretty much mapped out by your family or culture and that it’s your duty to be practical and sensible. You may be called to support others, financially and physically. It may seem sometimes that what you want doesn’t matter. Even though you certainly do considerably well, there may be something missing. The truth is you can be very satisfied with what you’ve achieved but all those shoulds and oughts could be taking the heart out for you. One day you’ll wake up and see that you’re where you want to be, after all. You’re a port in a storm, able to stay calm and keep all in perspective, but deep down you long to have everything taken off your hands. So make yourself give up control now and then - you can have playtime if you truly want it. Learn these lessons:
You have a powerful physical presence and even though your manner may be quiet you may give off an earthy sex-appeal. Probably you make an impact – you’re the one doing the cooking or rearranging the furniture. Loving to be effectual and active, you may enjoy sport or walking, but it can be hard for you to get out of the back-room. What you have matters a lot and you may concentrate on getting possessions and money. If you do this you need to ensure that your values are straight and you actually are increasing your well-being, not using ‘stuff’ as a means to feel important. Enjoy material things – it’s natural to you – but never let them control your life. Watch out for hoarding because you hate to get rid of anything. The good side of this is that you also keep friends, and that’s what matters.
