Here come the celebrity brides |
2009 may have seen a lot of celebrity break-ups and divorces, Katie Price and Peter Andre’s being the most high profile, but 2010 has brought about a distinct wind of change in celebrity land. We are only two months into the year but love is certainly in the air wherever we turn our heads.
The New Year celebrations had two famous Brits known for their wild ways, awash with sentiment as they put an end to their bachelor days. Within days of each other, wild child Robbie Williams proposed to his girlfriend of three years, model and actress Ayda Fields, and then reformed lothario, Russell Brand asked Katy Perry, his girlfriend of just five months, if she would make him a happy man by becoming his wife. Ayda and Katy accepted and both couples hope to marry within the next few months – with reports of a Valentine’s Day wedding for Robbie and Ayda.
And the flow of old-fashioned romance doesn't stop there. The Kills singer surprised Kate with an engagement ring on her 36th birthday in January when he flew out to see her in Mustique where she was working. And who said romance is dead?
